A Malawian living in South Africa Kesten Tambu  has been tortured to death by robbers who attacked his Spaza Shop he was running.

The robbery and murder  happened last Tuesday 14  February  in his shop in Backley’s Farm Village, Queenstown which he was running  together with  a Bangladeshi business college.

According to South Africa Police the thugs took money from the shop. They then toured the men, rubbing superglue in their eyes before locking them in a large freezer to die.

Police said as of now five men are in jail, charged with the killing of Tambu and his colleague Ali Ahmed.

According to Police and eye witnesses the bodies were discovered  when  customers realized the shop had not been open.

A case of  murder and robbery  has been opened and Cathcart police has formed a special task team to investigate.

Many foreigners operating businesses in townships are victims of robbery  hence robbers target foreigners accusing them of taking over business from the local people.
